Week 1

Mr Kanan gave us a brief idea of what we're going to be covering for the next 6 weeks. The slides below touches upon each topic.

Week 1
07/01/2020
We were put into groups for the final project. My team consists of Wen Yi, Angie, Jason and I. We were then randomly assigned a topic and the one we got was "Men vs Women". Because of broad this topic could be, it took a very long time for us to come to a final decision. At first, we thought about focusing on the differences in fashion styles between the two genders, however, Mr Shamsul was against it since it was a topic that was too common. We thought of a few more ideas:
- Skincare/Cosmetics
- Mental Health
- Industry Differences
Eventually, we opted for differences in cosmetics. Mr Shamsul advised us that we could touch on topics such as gendered makeup brands or even plastic surgery. After some careful consideration, we narrowed down our topic to plastic surgery as we found it to be quite interesting. Instead of focusing on plastic surgery's statistics worldwide, we're doing it based in Asia.
For our narrative, we came up with an idea to start off with a story then branch out into facts:
South Korea brother and sister, watching kpop idols one day on tv, both wants to get plastic surgery (doesn’t want to wait until birthday like Korean teenagers usually do for plastic surgery), parents ask them to provide with research and statistics to convince them why they want plastic surgeryCharacters:

Week 2
17/01/2020
We presented our mood board which includes our references for the characters, transitions and overall color theme of the infographic.
This week we also finished the narration, which was done by Angie. We then split the roles for composition of the infographic:

Background art- Angie
Editing- Jason
Audio- Wen Yi
Week 3
21/01/2020
We had to make a storyboard and animatic for our infographic. We initially created a storyboard that was drawn by all of us, each person taking one scene (includes a couple frames).
However, Mr Shamsul said that the style looked inconsistent and it was hard to tell what was going on. We then proceeded to create a more refined version of our original storyboard, with more detailed descriptions for transitions + sfx.
Week 4

We presented our animatic this week.
Week 7
18/01/2020
I finished creating the character assets this week, it was quite time consuming since I had to export each body part of the character.
